I'm a middle school teacher and started drinking kefir a little over two years ago. I must say that I am AMAZED at the difference in my health. I NEVER get sick now--even though I'm exposed to sick students all the time. Not only does kefir help with your immune system--but it's literally a youth tonic! It helps lose belly fat, add fiber to your diet in the form of inulin, and aid digestion. Plus, it tastes great! I mix mine with POM wonderful and ground flax seeds or berries for added health benefits.
