Bronner's is amazing because you can really use them for cleaning many different things around the house, and because they are so concentrated, they can last forever. Also, many co-ops and health food stores sell Dr. Bronner's in bulk. This means a bottle can last you a lifetime. How's that for being "green"?!

...or woman. This laundry detergent rocks. For an all-natural laundry detergent, it is very inexpensive. At first the size of the bottle may throw you off a bit, but it is concentrated 3X the amount of regular detergent. If you do the math, it costs just the same as any other name brand product.
It's not tested on animals, it's biodegradable, and you won't be supporting some big evil company like Proctor and Gamble. Seems logical to me.

It seems as though there is an ongoing rotation of health food that gets its five minutes of fame. Quinoa was one of them. Now Kombucha. Fortunately, Kombucha is a much easier alternative to Quinoa. It is ready to drink and mighty tasty. It is energizing, low in sugar, and can also make for a very nice hang-over remedy.
I have just one warning: DO NOT SMELL IT! The smell is enough to turn you away forever (but really, what would you expect from a fermented mushroom drink).

A little bit of everything wrapped up into one and it's in Seattle. It doesn't get much better than that. To name a little of what you might find; vintage shops, fish throwing, a crepe restaurant, fresh flowers and foods (locally grown). It's an amazing place to visit and an en even better place to live close to.

It's interesting that you would compare Kombucha to Quinoa - they are so different! Quinoa isn't exactly a fad - it's been a food staple for hundreds of years, but periodically gets buzz in the press. I remember a... more »

I wasn't really comparing the two foods as being alike in taste. It just seems as though there are some foods that get all hyped up. I also didn't say it was a bad thing. Being healthy is great. It's kinda like when... more »
