Great bags made in San Francisco and waterproof
I love my bag - it is waterproof, virtually indestructable, and sweatshop free. Also, the waterproof lining is non-vinyl (new material this year!) - but make sure to order a custom or traditional messenger bag, many of the other products are actually produced overseas. Also have a storefront in Hayes Valley where you can play with fabric swatches to visualize how stylish it is to have a nifty bag.

Kleen Kanteen - how much better is it?
My boyfriend started using a Kleen Kanteen when we learned that Nalgene plastic is linked to prostate cancer - bad! It's a great alternative - but you can't do the "warm water bottle in the bottom of the sleeping bag trick" with this one. We're also wondering what dissolved metals we're drinking, and what the impact of those might be. And the mining that leads to this water bottle might be just as petroleum intensive as the plastics industry - I've seen a pit mine - not so good. So just a few thoughts before you trash your Nalgenes for fresh water bottles...
