Eric Lancaster Executive Vice President, EM America www.emamerica.com
More LessI am a co-founder of EM America, the US distributor of Effective Microorganisms™ products. We educate people on the use of this regenerative technology in agriculture, environmental remediation, and health & wellness. I have been working with EM Technology® since 1996 when my in-laws brought some EM•1® Microbial Inoculant over from Japan with a copy of Dr. Higa's book An Earth Saving Revolution. Since then, I have learned quite a bit about this technology.
When I first learned about EM® I was working in the restaurant industry and was finishing up my BA in History at Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, Mass. A great pastime of mine was gardening. My wife and I were also getting into organic foods and lifestyles. I found myself studying to become a teacher of history, but wanted to do something environmental. It wasn't until 2000 that I was able to start actually working for EM®. On my first meeting, I decided I would focus on wastewater. Since water is in everything and EM•1® could clean wastewater, I decided to get licensed in wastewater treatment.
In 2002, I was offered at position with EMRO USA Effective Microorganisms in Tucson, Arizona and moved to Tucson in April 2002. In 2003, I became the Marketing Director for EMRO USA and designed a new sales and marketing system and trained 17 individuals to become direct sales people for the company. EMRO USA revisited the system in 2004 and we decided to take a new direction. In 2005, I and a two of the sales reps set up what become EM America. And there you have it.
