Review of Reusable Cup by Jamba Juice

4 star rating Review of Reusable Cup June 19, 2007 | Posted in Home and Garden

better than throwing one away I don't know how sustainable jamba juice is, but I go here once in a while for a yummy smoothie. I couldn't handle throwing away a styrofoam cup anymore so I bought one of their reusable plastic insulated cups, and it was a really smart purchase. You get some money off when you use it, and it is...

Review of Milk Chocolate with Hints of Arabica Coffee by Alter Eco

4 star rating Review of Milk Chocolate with Hints of Arabica Coffee June 15, 2007 | Posted in Food & Grocery

hint of coffee? I admit I'm not a coffee drinker, but if this chocolate has a "hint" of coffee, I can't imagine what they consider full coffee flavor to be!!! Not that it was a bad thing, because this chocolate was darn good. I could only have one square a sitting though because it is really strong. It's a great...

Review of Milk chocolate with a soft caramel center by Green & Black's

3 star rating Review of Milk chocolate with a soft caramel center June 15, 2007 | Posted in Food & Grocery

it's just ok. I was underwhelmed by this chocolate. It was kind of waxy as I find some milk chocolates are. The caramel wasn't very sweet, either, though that might be because it was trying to be more healthy.

Review of Natural White Table Wine by Frey vineyards

5 star rating Review of Natural White Table Wine June 15, 2007 | Posted in Beer, Wine & Spirits

Pretty drn good I am not a big wine drinker, but I really liked this wine. It didn't bite me, and I like that. It was light, semi fruity, and just a fun summer wine. I actually was thinking about going out and buying a couple bottles for the weekend... and I never buy wine. I can't not give it 5 big orange stars.

Review of East Bay Nursery

4 star rating Review of East Bay Nursery June 1, 2007 | Posted in Berkeley, Lawn & Garden

my first favorite nursery This was the first real nursery I ever fell in love with when I really started gardening. They have a great selection of roses, hydrangeas, 4" transplants of veggies herbs and annuals, and a bunch of other perennial plants. Their selection of natural soil amendments is pretty good, I often buy worm...

Review of Mixt Greens

4 star rating Review of Mixt Greens June 1, 2007 | Posted in San Francisco, Restaurants

Good salads, small seating I was taken here on my birthday by a friend and it was pretty tasty. They have a lot of variety, and the portions are good sized, even big enough to make 2 meals out of. It's a bit crowded inside of the space, so that was kind of a bummer but it was also normal for another little hole in the wall...

Review of Oatmeal Fragrance-Free Soap by Sappo Hill

5 star rating Review of Oatmeal Fragrance-Free Soap May 31, 2007 | Posted in Skin & Body Care

great soap I reviewed this company's oatmeal soap (http://www.sustainlane.com/listing/R1KXZRJ4944SP8R1A3M93TPJ4SP8) , so after I finished that soap I tried this type. I love it, it's luxurious, and completely unscented besides the light scent of oil. I highly recommend this soap for someone who doesn't want a...

Review of Olive & Aloe Moisturizer by Kiss My Face

5 star rating Review of Olive & Aloe Moisturizer May 31, 2007 | Posted in Skin & Body Care

Sensitive skin lotion This is the best bigger-bottle lotion that I've tried that doesn't have parabens or fragrances or other nasties. I love the body shop's aloe line, but they don't come in big pump bottles. I use this lotion after the shower. It's not sticky or stinky, and it doesn't have some of the scarier...

Review of Plain Lowfat Yogurt by Wallaby Organic

5 star rating Review of Plain Lowfat Yogurt May 31, 2007 | Posted in Food & Grocery

Plain Lowfat Yogurt Stomaching plain yogurt was a hard transition for me; I had a hard time with the sour flavor. So far in my quest to eat plain rather than sugary flavored yogurts, I like this the best. The yogurt is organic (yay) and it has live and active cultures that are good for digestion. I recommend this...

Review of Geranium Liquid Hand Soap by Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day

3 star rating Review of Geranium Liquid Hand Soap May 18, 2007 | Posted in Skin & Body Care

yummy smell, but parabens and fragrances This soap smells awesome. So, I sat down to write a 5 star review, but then I read the ingredients: fragrance, methylparaben, propylparaben. Boo! Fragrances that are not natural are carcinogenic sometimes and common allergens. Parabens probably cause cancer. I knew this soap was too good to be...
