This is a yoga video that is very workout-focused. If you are wanting to tone and don't care as much for the meditation side of yoga, this video is for you. Personally I prefer workouts to move more slowly, but different strokes for different folks, I suppose!
The really cool thing about this video is that it has 5 different workouts ranging 10-19 minute each. When you first turn on the dvd you can select up to 3 workouts, and it will play them in the order you chose so you don't have to mess with the dvd player again. There are beginner, intermediate, and advanced sessions, so this dvd could be useful to you for quite a long time.
Warning to beginners: The "beginner" session is faster-moving than any beginner session I've ever seen! I would only buy this video if you are fairly physically fit.

I adore this video. It is a good yoga session for beginners. The music is relaxing and the poses are very easy to accommodate to whatever level you are at. I mix this video up with Yoga Zone's gentle yoga for beginners. I probably like this video a bit more than that one, but it is just one long session instead of two shorter sessions, so I only do it on days I'm not feeling rushed.

I bought this dvd on ebay because it was only $4 and guess what? It turned out to be a godsend. I do this (or one of the other yoga dvd's I've reviewed) nearly every morning. It's a great way to relax me and it is also a good workout! It doesn't feel like a workout at the time, but I have definitely been sore from this video.
I am very glad this dvd has two sessions because that makes it easier for me to continue doing it without getting bored. I'm also glad they are only 20 minutes. Who can't fit in something that only takes 20 minutes?
There have been times I thought this video was too easy, and other times I thought it was too hard. The more and more I've learned about yoga the more I've realized it is what you make of it. If you treat it like any other workout it might seem too easy as you move from pose to pose without paying attention to your body. If you get really into it and concentrate on which muscles are doing what, you might end up sore the next day.
PS, the cover shows a woman, but a man leads this yoga!

When I first found out about the 100 Day Challenge I wondered if it was a cult. Here were people discussing the mysterious "Law of Attraction" in Youtube video after Youtube video. Then when I looked into it further I realized how incredible it really is. People from many different locations and backgrounds (though it appears most are female) decide to spend 100 days working towards certain goals in their lives by thinking positively--believing that what they want will come to them (the law of attraction) and engaging in "practices" such as meditation, yoga, and keeping a gratitude journal. They form an online community through videos and blogs. From what I've seen, people have vastly improved their lives in 100 days with the help of like-minded people online. Pretty cool!
One point taken off because their website could use some tweaking. It is easier to follow videos on youtube because on that site one can subscribe to someone's videos and be notified when a new one is uploaded--this site doesn't have that option. There are a few other things that seem a bit clunky about the site as well.

These are pretty cool. A big tennis ball-sized bomb made of all natural salts and oils and well, I think baking soda, explodes when you throw it into a full bath tub. At first I was skeptical and thought these were over-hyped--then I started using them. They smell good and are fun to watch and hear fizz.
One star off because they're VERY expensive and because you have to be careful which kind you buy. Some of them unleash weird things into the tub. One day I ended up with a tub-full of fennel seeds. A warning would've been nice Lush!

They work very hard to make Chicago bike-friendly. They have a very close relationship with the CDOT bike program. Check out the Bike the Drive event! How fun is riding your bike down Lake Shore Drive, legally?

Okay, maybe I am a bit biased, but this is a great non-profit. They work hard to make Illinois more bicycle-friendly, whether it's by lobbying the state for certain laws, creating bicycle safety videos to be shown in drivers' ed classes throughout the state, or consulting municipalities on developing bike plans. They also run a yearly ride and anyone can support them by becoming a member. Check out the website! bikelib.org

I've been buying and selling on etsy for about a year and half now and I'm loving every minute of it. It's a great place to buy stuff that you know was made in good conditions. I've gotten clothing, soap, stationary, and more. If you look hard enough you can find great things for amazing prices. I became obsessed with Lush bath bombs, but really cannot afford them. No problem! I found a seller on etsy who hand makes natural bath bombs and sells them for half of Lush's price.
They also have the awesome "upcycle" contest which encourages crafters to make stuff out of used materials. Good for the planet!

This works about as well as all the other Tom's of Maine deodorants I've tried, but it smells much much sweeter. Not my ideal armpit scent, but surprisingly it doesn't bother my sensitive nose!
Tom's of Maine is owned by Colgate now. Easier to buy, harder to trust?

I will never use this again because after using it for only ONE NIGHT around my eyes and mouth it made me break out with zits that wouldn't go away for a week! I should've known putting oil on my sensitive skin was a bad idea!
I give it two stars because I'm sure it probably works well for someone whose skin is less sensitive than mine is.
