Review of Chamomile Herb Tea by Choice Organic Teas

5 star rating Review of Chamomile Herb Tea May 23, 2007 | Posted in Tasty Drinks

It's good! I don't have much to say other than this is really good tea. You can taste the quality, which stands a chance at beating out Numi's as my favorite. It's Chamomile, so I drink this when I want to chill out a bit. It tastes good on its own, or with a bit of honey.

Review of Brown Rice Chips by Eden

3 star rating Review of Brown Rice Chips May 17, 2007 | Posted in Food & Grocery

Darn tasty and wheat free These little chips are nicely curved for scooping up dip, and have a delicious, lightly-salted taste. It was packaged with one of those chemical packets that prevents drying, so that wasn't super cool. Oh, and they're kinda expensive - $3.50 for 1.7oz at Valencia Whole Foods.

Review of EveryDay Detox by Traditional Medicinals

5 star rating Review of EveryDay Detox May 14, 2007 | Posted in Tasty Drinks

Your liver will thank you I drink EveryDay Detox, well - almost every day. This sounds funny, but it kind of makes my feet tingle - I just imagine that is all of the toxins in my body escaping through my feet. I think it tastes much better than Yogi Tea's DeTox - especially if I squeeze a quarter of a fresh lemon into it.

Review of Klean Kanteen by Klean Kanteen

5 star rating Review of Klean Kanteen April 6, 2007 | Posted in Health and Wellness

Klean water! I really like my klean kanteen. I haven't noticed any metallic taste like James mentioned. I do wonder how much energy and resources it takes to make something like this though, like how many paper cups equals one klean kanteen?

Review of Peppermint Organic Liquid Soap by Dr.Bronner's Magic Soaps

5 star rating Review of Peppermint Organic Liquid Soap April 6, 2007 | Posted in Skin & Body Care

Feel the sensation I love waking up to a shower with this stuff. It's tingly and refreshing. It also fulfills my dream of being able to use the same thing for body, hair, and face. I still have to use a conditioner to tame my weave though.

Review of Energy Bars by Bumble Bar

5 star rating Review of Energy Bars April 5, 2007 | Posted in Food & Grocery

A "whole food" energy bar The thing I love best about these delicious bars is that you can actually SEE what it's made of: mostly sesame seeds, some flax seeds, and depending on the flavor, some other stuff, too. It's all amalgamated together with goodies like cane juice, and brown rice syrup. I haven't developed a...

Review of Bi-Rite Market

4 star rating Review of Bi-Rite Market April 5, 2007 | Posted in San Francisco, Food & Grocery

Bi-Rite is alright! I LOVE this grocery store! Yes, it is a bit pricey, and it's crazy cramped (which just makes you closer to your neighbors), but this is where I do most of my shopping. Things I've gotten or seen there: organic and local produce (lots of samples), cheeses (more samples!), deli sandwiches, sustainably...

Whooo doggy! These dogs are made of grass fed beef and are very good. Minus one star for being out of ketchup!

Review of Cradle to Cradle by William McDonough & Michael Braungart

4 star rating Review of Cradle to Cradle April 5, 2007 | Posted in Books, Mags, Music & Film

A must-read for sustainability This is an easy read that explains some of the absurdities of our everyday world's relationship with the environment using very relatable examples. There do appear to be some conflicts of interest in this book, however. McDonough and Braungart speak of clients of theirs - companies such as Monsanto...
