Whole Foods Great but Still a Little Expensive
Like many other eco-friendly chicagoans, I shop regularly at this downtown Whole Foods location. It always exceeds my expectations in quality and variety of products. I trust the brand and believe in its products. However, I currently live in Lakeview, and the trek back to my part of town is difficult when carrying 2-3 bags of groceries on public transportation! I was excited to discover the new Whole Foods location opening this winter on Broadway and Waveland -- a little closer to home! My one and only complaint with Whole Foods in general is the expense. Being young and just starting my publishing career, I keep myself on a very tight food budget and sometimes my food bill is a little high. I find stores like Trade Joe's fit into my budget a little easier. But it's worth the sacrifice for food that's good for me and the environment!
