It always amazes me how many chemicals people are willing to put up with in their yoga mats, blocks and other tools. Just say NO to PVC.

I NEVER buy regular dish soap anymore. Whether it's 7th Gen. or some other brand, I always get the natural cleaners. I recently found out that mixing in a half-cup of dish soap with one of those spray bottles that attaches to your hose really helps keep chiggers and small pests off your lawn without harming the environment or killing insects. It worked like a charm for me. Just be sure not to over spray, and don't do it on a hot day because you want the liquid to soak in before it dries.

This is much better than the Jute yoga mat, which I don't really like because it doesn't last very long. Jute is like cork and absorbs moisture so it falls apart during hot yoga classes. But the Recycled Yoga Mat bag you are reviewing here I like it A LOT! Five stars!!

In Kentucky my family uses coal to heat their homes. They put it in the wood burning stove. Which is better for the environment - chopping down trees for wood, or using the coal you find in your backyard?

It's just tap water in a bottle. Go buy a glass or recycled plastic water bottle and refill it before leaving the house each day. Not only will you save the planet, but you'll save tons of money too! Forget bottled water.
