I love the Klean Kanteen. Let me count the ways:
1. It is sturdy and durable.
2. It is made from recycled content (most steel is)
3. It is attractive and sleek
4. It is easy to clean.
5. It does not leach anything nasty into my beverages.
6. It fits many cupholders perfectly.
Cons (removing one star for each con):
1. wide mouth opening results in spillage. Don't try drinking while a passenger in a car! I resolved this by purchasing a plastic sports cap lid. Downside of that is now my water is passing over plastic. Sigh.

The Smart Strip takes a product that we all have - the power strip, and makes it more energy efficient.
Computer peripherals, like printers and scanners, continue to use energy, even after you turn them off. It's called 'idle' current, and whether or not your using your peripherals, you're still paying to power them. The Smart Strip power strip from Bits Ltd senses how much power your computer peripherals use. When it senses that you've turned your computer off, it automatically shuts off your peripherals, too, preventing them from drawing an idle current.

Urban Ore is a reuse warehouse in Berkeley that has a bit of everything, Building supplies, such as windows, doors, counters, ovens, bathtubs, you name it. Also sundry household items, you can find some real gems. I highly recommend you spend some time in Urban Ore before buying something new - you might just find what you need.
