This stuff rules!

I just finished washing my tiny car (Honda Insight). It took about a half an hour which includes a quick cleaning out of the inside and some pretty anal detailing on the outside. I admit it, I got the point where it became fun to get all the little spots I usually blow off.

Eco-Touch works exactly as described! The best part is that I was able to wash and detail all in one instead of wash, rinse, dry, detail. It did not work so great on the glass but that may be because I did not try it until the end and the microfiber towels were pretty dirty by then. So I just touched up the glass with my usual vinegar and water glass cleaner and all is good.

I am seriously impressed with this product and had a 'hits head and says, duh' moment for not making the switch to waterless a very long time ago. I can not recommend this product highly enough and am going to shoot off a note to my local Honda Dealership (who does not offer car washing) to see if they would if they knew about this great waterless product.

Review of Laundry Powder

Extremely disappointing!

I did a lot of reading on many websites and forums before I bought this product. It has worked dismally for me. Every single load I have done with it, no matter what the size or the water temperature still had powder residue left on it.

I tried several tactics including measuring the powder very carefully and giving it time to dissolve in the water before adding my clothing AND I STILL HAVE MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF WHITE POWDER ON MY CLOTHES! This residue persists after the rinse cycle and even on items that can go into the dryer (done hoping the air and tumbling would remove it.)

My clothes just aren't all that clean either. They feel like there is something filmy on them (duh) and do not smell as fresh as they should.

Ecover says they are redesigning a lot of their products. I do not know if this is because of problems like this or if this is the new version but I do not recommend this product. I am rewashing my shirts as I write this.

Inconsistent results

I have used this product for years and have had very mixed results. Sometimes my clothes seemed nice and clean (and smelled fresh), other times they didn't seem to get clean at all (even smell funny and made my skin itch) under the exact same washing conditions. Using Borax with this product has worked okay (a recent addition) but not outstanding and the additional cost and hassle are a bummer. I have been looking for an alternative (so far have tried Ecover powder it was far worse). Also for those interested, I believe Consumer Report's site lists Trader Joe's as dead last of the laundry soaps.
