Review of American Apparel

3 star rating Review of American Apparel October 20, 2007 | Posted in San Francisco, Clothing

American Apparel It is nice to know that AA does pay above the minimum wage, but they have been known to constantly union bust and there have been allegations of sexual harassment.

Review of Harvest Urban Market

3 star rating Review of Harvest Urban Market October 20, 2007 | Posted in San Francisco, Food & Grocery

it's OK but there are better options I find that you can get pretty healthy items here. But it is expensive and I can get better food for less at other places like Rainbow. Also, while there are plenty of organic items here, I don't see that it necessarily translates to sustainable because it could come from another continent.

Review of Herbivore: The Earthly Grill

5 star rating Review of Herbivore: The Earthly Grill October 20, 2007 | Posted in San Francisco, Restaurants

Great Place for Vegan and other Vegitarians I have been a vegetarian for two years and often going to a regular restaurant often means that you only have a couple of choices, and you hope that those choices are good ones. Herbivore gives many choices and it's pleasant to be around people who are also vegetarians.

Review of City CarShare

5 star rating Review of City CarShare September 26, 2007 | Posted in Transportation

City CarShare City CarShare is a must. They are great for being able to get errands done and usually you can get a car in a pinch.

Also, unlike other car share programs, City CareShare is non-profit, and reflects community needs better than for profit programs.

One thing that often gets overlooked about...

Review of Whole Foods Market - SF Van Ness

2 star rating Review of Whole Foods Market - SF Van Ness September 24, 2007 | Posted in San Francisco, Food & Grocery

Whole Foods I do enjoy going to whole foods occasionally. But there are a few things that I think need to be pointed out.

There also has been...

Review of Toilet Bowl Cleaner by Ecover

5 star rating Review of Toilet Bowl Cleaner September 24, 2007 | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry

Works great I use this to clean my toilet. It does help to use a little elbow grease, but in the end, this is very well worth it.

Review of Cleaning Products by Formula 409

1 star rating Review of Cleaning Products September 24, 2007 | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry

Formula 409 Cleaner I am at a total loss at why anybody concerned with sustainability would generously give 5 stars. This is a product that I would use as a last result. could it be that the company has somebody is plugging their product hoping that somebody who uses sustainlane is gullible?

Review of Rainbow Grocery

5 star rating Review of Rainbow Grocery September 21, 2007 | Posted in San Francisco, Food & Grocery

What else is there to say. I shop at Rainbow, because it reflects my values. Unlike Safeway which only cares about making a profit for its shareholders: Rainbow workers are the shareholders, so they know that they are working in a community to help a community.

They have a huge bulk section, and have pleny of organic...
