Not just great produce, but a great learning experience, too!

I go almost every Saturday to this local farmers' market. If I miss a Saturday, my whole week is off. This is a huge market, and unlike most farmer's markets in SF, this one is very very affordable. (No ridiculous prices for a vine ripened tomato). Some of the stalls are organic choices and all of it is local. My favorite part is to watch the produce varieties change from season to season. I've learned more about what grows locally and seasonally just from my browsing through the stalls then I ever knew before. Go check it out...OH and on Sunday's its a flea market.

Review of weird fish

EAT MORE VEGGIES...and fish! yum!

My roomie suggested I try out this new restaurant in the Mission not only because it has a cute atmosphere, delicious, affordable AND seafood, but apparently also sustainable seafood that won't break the bank...and I'll tell you right now, I was convinced it was impossible until last night. WEIRD FISH has lots of veggie sides to accompany the great fish of the day specials and it was so cheap I was compelled to treat. Also, they have an amazing oyster po'boy that's almost as good as my grandma used to make!. I say try the "suspiciously delicious fish dish"...hhmm turned to mmmm.
