Use what you have ~

As the owner of 2 Twigs & A Bay Leaf I kept having friends ask me where I got the arrangements in my house? I told them from my own yard. Most flowers are shipped in from other countries and leave huge fossil footprints, but just looking around your yard and those of friends, it's easy and little or no cost to have one of a kind flowers in your home. Right now I have 2 huge apple trees that are full of fruit. I simply cut 4-5 branches. cut some greens from any bush that needs some trimming, and spike a few gourds, oranges or pumpkins and gourds with kebob spikes and keep them low in the front. No cost, used a vase I bought at a garage sale for .25 cents and no one else has one just like it.

Same approach for all my work, use what is readily available, buy local, use recycled goods and think out of the box.
