An excellent proudct

The 5 Hour Energy Shot does everything it advertises. I have used it many times, mostly for roadtrips. You really don't feel energized as much as you do alert and free from any signs of drowsiness. I don't believe that the product has any uncomfortable side effects, but I do believe that taking this shot when you are truly exhausted leads to an unpleasant experience. After a night a drinking, a day of snowboarding, and a long drive back from the mountains, I took my second 5 Hour Energy Shot of the day so that I could continue my boisterous birthday celebration. I was so physically drained that I could have slept through just about anything, but not a 5 Hour Energy Shot. Fifteen minutes after taking the shot, my incessant yawning stopped and my drooping eyelids lost their weight. However, my body entered into a battle with itself and my mind, unable to decide whether I was depleted or rejuvenated. It is a surreal feeling to be so utterly tired and yet so alert; I did not find it overly enjoyable.

I recommend the 5 Hour Energy Shot as boost for some extra productivity or as a safety precaution when driving long or strenuous roads; it is excellent for immediate and long lasting attentiveness. I advise against using the 5 Hour Energy Shot for extended stretches of debauchery or re-animation.

A Pretty Serious Kick

I was a pretty big fan of Red Bull for late night study sessions and all night drives throughout college. However, those caffeine binges always left me really shaky and anxious, and not very eager to repeat the experience.

5 hour energy is a much more natural way to get that same energy kick when you need it. It does have about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, but it's really the b12, taurine, b6, niacin and other herbal supplements that give you the lasting energy you need without the crash. And in terms of avoiding the crash - ths stuff is the real deal - no more of that shaky aftereffect where you finished your work but you have another 2 hours of mind racing before you can go to sleep.

Also, it has no sugar or carbs - not that at 23 I am super concerned about my daily carb intake - but that's the deal anyway.

I do however have one disclaimer for this product. I had a pretty intense weekend involving snowboarding all day and staying up till 5 AM partying and then doing it all over again, so I drank a few of these. By the time Saturday night rolled around my heart was doing some pretty serious racing and i couldn't sit still or think clearly at all. So, i would recommend keeping your intake of these to 1 a day. Other than that - this product rocks!
