we bought firecrystals fireplace glass for our fire pit because as their ad said, it's eco friendly replacement to burning wood and where we live, Denver, there's a ban on burning wood in fireplaces or fire pits at certain times of the year. we try to be as eco friendly in all we do and found the firecrystals to be such a cool product. its cool looking glass that heats up, so it doesn't burn anything toxic to the room or outside and it looks great too when the fire is off. but we're most happy because we can keep using our fire pit (which we love) and not feel like we're contributing to pollution.
