How many of us would embark, against all odds, on a mission to take a green Gospel to the world? Twenty years ago, having recovered from brain surgery, Craig Sorley set out with an urgent message to a relucant church to take on the role of guardians, conservationists, to protect God's creation. This article is an amazing story of how one man, with a Bible in hand, has perservered as a passionate agent of change in Kenya through his faith in God and belief that it is a mandate for Christians to be eco evangelists. Sorley encourages farmers using scripture to help rebuild their self-esteem and works alongside them to reverse the environmental imbalance that includes the loss of wildlife, soil erosion, deforestation, and their food and water crisis. The environmental challenges they face are dire, but with Sorley and his Care of Creation Kenya team's faith and commitment to help the Kenyan people, they are not without hope... perhaps Kenya can be a paradise once again.
