Twenty years ago, having recovered from brain surgery, Craig Sorley set out with an urgent message to a relucant church to take on the role of guardians, conservationists, to protect God's creation. This article is an amazing story of how one man, with a Bible in hand, has perservered as a passionate agent of change in Kenya through his faith in God and belief that it is a mandate for Christians to be eco evangelists. Sorley encourages farmers using scripture to help rebuild their self-esteem and works alongside them to reverse the environmental imbalance that includes the loss of wildlife, soil erosion, deforestation, and their food and water crisis.
