This plant food has a noticeable impact on your plants within 48 hours from the very first application. I use it on houseplants, outdoor plants, orchids, violets and fruit trees....my hibiscus get absolutely COVERED in flowers when I spray worm poop on them! The gerber daisies in my window boxes get huge blooms like the one's you see on tv. I am not a green thumb but I get great results from this product. The fact it is green is an added bonus, why use chemicals if you don't have to? I love worm poop!!! And no, it does not smell AT ALL!

I found out about TerraCycle as an environmental activist. I love their start-up story and want to support them by using their plant food product. Which is timely, because I just finished up the very last of my Miracle-Gro. Did you know that Terracycle is being sued by Scotts-Miracle Gro! To get information about the lawsuit against TerraCycle, and what you can do, simple go to their homepage. Worm POOP ON YOU Scotts!

I love this stuff because it's all natural, works wonders on the plants, and it's totally green. It's packaged in discarded soda bottles, keeps trash out of the landfill, and feeds a bunch of hungry earthworms. What a great idea!

So much about this product is great. It's derived from vermicopost (worm poop!), which comes from worms breaking down organic matter (so much of which would end up choked in a landfill). Terracycle brews tea from this vermicompost, and bottles it in recycled soda bottles with pump spray tops that I believe are rejects from industry that manufactures these kinds of bottle tops. I use it as a foliar spray and mix in a diluted amount to water seedlings, and the plants dig it. Good idea, good for plants... I'd give 5 stars if I knew they'd take the spray top and bottle back and use it again? Does anyone know if they do?

great idea, great product, we instituted a plastic recycling program at our community college because of this, and are doing more and more

Though a bit pricey, ranging in the $10 vicinity for a 20oz bottle, Terracycle is great for plants. Just spray 'em and watch 'em love you and grow. Terracycle is a super-cool product, it's natural, organic, made from vermicomposted matter (if you don't what that means, just think "vermin") and it's packaged in old plastic bottles. And I think you can even get this at Wal-Mart (at least that's the word on the street).

Can't beat their product: organic plant food made from vermicompost (worms eat compost and then their poop is the foundation for the plant food). The plant food's packaged in reclaimed plastic bottles as well. Doesn't hurt that the stuff outperforms the synthetic stuff as well.
Go to their site, www.terracycle.net, to find out where to get it near you.

Terracycle plant food, in re-used soda bottles, works great. I usually kill plants through neglect, but with Terracycle I am able to keep them alive and even thriving. I put it on one of my dying tomato plants outside this summer and it recovered happily.

I just read that Terracycle settled the lawsuit under some very strange conditions. They agreed to change the colors on their label (I will admit, there product label did look pretty similar to MiracleGro), but they also... more »

Thanks for the update Adam - I hadn't heard the outcome, but reading about the dilemma at the time it was clear to me that it was a case of situation #2. And, I've boycotted Miracle-Gro ever since! more »
