Emergency Back-Up Pizza

As a child of the "latchkey kid" generation of the late 70s and early 80s, I had plenty of frozen pizza for dinner. Mostly it just tastes like cardboard and I avoid it like the plague, unless I'm feeling sentimental for low rent, highly processed comfort foods.

Amy's frozen pizzas, however, are pretty good for frozen pizza. I am spoiled -- I live near Zachary's pizza which is probably the best pizza on the West Coast. I even have a pizza stone so I can make my own pizza or heat up a Zachary's half-bake. But, sometimes I'll get an Amy's vegan Roasted Veggie pizza and keep it in the freezer -- it is pretty tasty and works when I come home late and need to have something warm and convenient. It also makes a great snack if folks stop by -- I can cut it into small squares and serve it as an appetizer or finger food with beer.

Amy's does have very consistently high quality packaged foods -- I just wish there was a way to lose the plastic shrink wrap on the pizza -- only 4 stars.

the best frozen organic pizza

I love Amy's and their line of foods. I haven't had a better frozen organic pizza yet. I buy the small pizzas, soy cheese is suprisingly good, for lunch at work. I don't microwave anymore, but in a toaster or convection oven, these turn out great. I agree that they could use more herbs, or spices to pump up the flavor, but I can always add that myself.

Pretty good

I have had better frozen pizzas but Amy's has some varieties you just don't see from some of the other organic brands. She has some soy cheese ones, some with cornmeal crusts, some with lots of veggies. I think they all need some more herbs and spices in the sauce but I am picky about things like that.

Amys is good at everything they make!

Amy's pizza, chili, soups, frozen meals...all of it, are my number one food product to purchase at whole foods (for quick foods that is). I love Amy's!

I'm not a huge fan of frozen pizza.

I’m not really a huge fan of frozen pizza. I often make it from scratch. But it’s always good to have an Amy’s frozen pizza in my freezer, because at least once every couple weeks I get home sometime after 9pm without having had dinner, and it’s great to throw a pizza in the oven. These pizzas are delicious and organic. I love the cornmeal crusts. I’m not sure if they all have cornmeal crusts. All of these pizzas are vegetarian, which is okay with me, because they’re so tasty. And it’s nice not to be putting all kinds of junk into my body. The pesto, 4-cheese, and spinach pizzas are my three favorites.

I love this pizza!!

Amy's pizza is the best pizza ever! I like the quality organic incgredients and it tastes amazing!! It also has a lot less fat than other frozen pizzas. My favorites are mushroom and olive, spinich and the no cheese pizza.
