Great option for high-efficiency lighting

As a "green" architect, I am always on the lookout for breakthrough products that will improve energy efficiency. i2Systems' Aperion 10 line of LED light fixtures is one of these breakthroughs. Unlike compact fluorescent fixtures (which typically contain mercury and have a light quality that is often unpleasant at best) or halogen lights (which produce large amounts of heat), LED light fixtures contain no mercury and are cool to the touch. They use less electricity (2.3-3.5 watts compared to 12-15 watts for the best flourescents), and last thousands of hours longer than CFL's or halogen lights. Most LED fixtures today, however, have a light color quality similar to fluorescents, and are not dimmable. The Aperion 10 light fixtures have solved both of those problems, with a true warm white color temperature available and infinite dimmability from 0-100%.

This has been a very important discovery for us in our quest to design energy-efficient buildings for our clients.
