A Beautiful Evening
Aziza is a wonderful restaurant and the perfect place for a beautiful evening.
The setting manages to be both inviting and comfortable at the same time. The staff is professional and still totally friendly, the people here are great.
But - go for the food, the meat is sustainably raised, the vegetables are local and organic, and the flavors are incredible. Moroccan food is just "different" enough to be a welcome change.
After one visit you'll want to try everything on the menu.

Morrocan Slow Food
The chef who owns Aziza was at Chez Panisse, I think, for a bunch of years. He's inspiring, passionate, and a master of Moroccan Slow Food. It's sustainable, local, and delicious.
Everything is painstakingly prepared, from the drinks to the stews to the pastries to the desserts. You won't be disappointed, nor will your date.

Aziza is one of the very best dining experiences in San Francisco
No kidding. If you've never eaten here, you are indeed missing out. For starters, Aziza is chef-owned, and has an amazingly loyal following of guests and employees. The reason for that loyalty is that Aziza staff go the extra mile...in terms of everything. The food here is creatively thought-out, organic and sustainable. The servers are some of the best I have ever experienced (ask for Max!). Even the drinks are made from organic spirits, and the wines are biodynamic (and amazing too). You'll come back again and again once you find this place (it's a bit far out on the avenues, but well worth the trip). The lamb shank is beyond belief...the meat falls off the bone, and when you taste the food you'll know that no shortcuts were taken to prepare your authentically Moroccan meal!
