Bamboosa

For my website I look for companies who are interested in providing great products and service but are also on a mission to be environmentally and socially responsible. Bamboosa is a company like that.

I recently purchased a couple of bamboo shirts from them and was pleasantly surprised by their quick service. I liked that they used recycled paper for their packaging and product descriptions. It was tied with twine and it felt like I was opening a present.

The shirts were of course very nice and soft. I am very pleased with bamboo. They do a good job of informing you about bamboo and the benefits of using it for clothing, along with explanations of the process of creating clothing from bamboo.
Bamboosa makes their clothing here in the U.S. under sweatshop free conditions.

Their website is full of great ideas and links to other like minded companies.

This is business at it's best.

Natural Clothing

I ordered two shirts from Bamboosa which are made from bamboo fibers. I know that sounds weird but they are soooo soft -- they are awesome for sleeping in or for just wearing them around the house. I didn't give it five stars because I originally ordered the shirts so I could wear them to work, but they are just too casual for that. They have a great selection of bright colors but I found that their sizes run a little small. I normally wear a medium, but I could have used a large in the shirts I ordered.

I just received a gift from a friend. It was a pair of bamboo ankle socks and a bamboo/cotton tank top. They were beautifully and carefully wrapped in tissue paper and then tied with hemp yarn. I asked my friend if he did the wrapping. He said he didn't so I automatically thought he asked Bamboosa to gift wrap it. He then told me that everything he ordered from Bamboosa has always come wrapped just like that. Apart from providing quality sustainable products they also provide a really nice touch with the gift wrapping and it made my friend seem even cooler.

Bamboosa clothing

Bamboosa makes clothing entirely from bamboo fiber. I've bought clothes from them twice. The clothes are so silky and soft. They look really nice. I've gotten complements on them, and when I tell people its bamboo, they're really surprised. Its a little expensive, but for something that's ecologically-friendly, American-made, and very pleasing to wear; it's worth it. I really recommend the company. If it doesn't fit or you don't like it, they'll pay for the shipping to send it back.
