Best place I've been to! Strongly recommend!

I love Bark Place. My dog is well taken care of by the friendly staff. Of any place I have tried, this is the most professional and caring place. They clearly are in the business out of love for our animals. I enjoy going into the cute storefront as well and now do all my purchases there as they are, amazingly, very reasonable. It is well worth checking this out!

****WARNING*** READ THIS BEFORE YOU USE BARK PLACE AGAIN**

The weekend of January 1st, I took my dogs to Bark Place for 5 days because I was headed to a funeral for my Grandfather. While I was out of town I received a call from an employee of Bark Place that there was an "incident" involving Rocco my small boarder terrier (29lbs).

So by incident they mean..... They allowed a previously known aggressive Pit bull mix in with the rest of the dogs and the Pit bull took a couple bites out of my dog. Rocco was ripped from the back of the neck to under his throat. They also had to sew back up his ear. I'm not sure the exact number of stitches but it was many upwards of 30 probably on a small dog.

So I understand that dog fights happen but what makes this incident worse is that the owner of the dog that attacked him and The owner of Bark Place knew the dog had aggression issues and still they took him. This is taken from the review from the owner of the Pitt bull"

"I have been very pleased with all of my interactions with the Bark Place staff, including the owner. I ran into the owner on a walk with my "sometimes aggressive" pit mix. I told him that I was looking for doggie daycare and he gave me his card. "

Then she went on, talking about how well they keep the pit out of trouble while he's there.

This was written on yelp in 2007 and the Owner is alerted when a review is written as he replied to my first review in hours of posting.

The aftermath.... I was never contacted again by the owner of Bark Place or the owner of the dog. Until I posted a negative review, 4 weeks later. It wasn't until after this that I found the review about the aggressive pit named Cohen. I decided at this point that there was clear negligence on both parts and I decided to sue.

I LOVE BARK PLACE!!!!

I have known Anthony, the owner and proprietor of Bark Place for over 15 years. His caring and dedication to animals is unbelievable. Each guest will feel special and will get individual attention at Bark Place.

If you need to go out of town for an extended stay, or if you need a convenient place to have a Fido play day, Bark Place is the ticket!

Also, natural pet food and green dog/cat accessories!

Woof!!!!

:)
