As a man who can enjoy a good luxurious soak in the tub, I thought I should get in on this conversation.
I was first introduced to Lush on M street in Georgetown near where i went to college. I generally stayed away because the smell coming out was so strong. Then one day I needed to get a gift for my girlfriend and didn't have any awesome ideas of my own, so I decided to go for an old standby - the bath gift set. The only thing was, once i started looking at all the awesome things in the store, the more stuff i started to buy. I ended up spending more on me than on her, and ever since I have been addicted. I don't use these two often, since one bath bomb is like 5 bucks, but the rare occasions when i do get to indulge i love it.
I don't mind that it leaves crystals in the tub, and in fact i really like the ones that have stuff in it (I bought my girl one with dried rose petals in it that flower as the bath bomb dissolves. i also love that there stuff is all natural. Now we don't really know what that means because there is no regulatory body controlling it. That being said, they have been advertising all natural since before it was cool, so maybe there is at least something to it. I would certainly like to find out more in the future.

I adore Lush bath bombs -- they are sweetly scented and they are fun to use. I had a rose scented bath bomb that I just adored. True - they leave some strange debris in the tub, and the scents are sometimes so overwhelming that I can barely go into their shop -- after 5 minutes, everything smells the same. I also tried one of their very pricy (like $70) facial moisturizers and all it did was make me break out.... your mileage may vary.
Lush does have a strong commitment against animal testing and uses quality ingredients. Good folks and good products... I realize there's one near my office, now if only I had a bathtub that was bigger than 48" long (how can you enjoy a good soak if you can't even straighten your knees?)
Bath bombs = good. :)

Be aware that most of Lush's strong scents are synthetic. They make some great products, but I was surprised how many of them use an "un-natural" perfume with what is mostly a natural product. more »
These are pretty cool. A big tennis ball-sized bomb made of all natural salts and oils and well, I think baking soda, explodes when you throw it into a full bath tub. At first I was skeptical and thought these were over-hyped--then I started using them. They smell good and are fun to watch and hear fizz.
One star off because they're VERY expensive and because you have to be careful which kind you buy. Some of them unleash weird things into the tub. One day I ended up with a tub-full of fennel seeds. A warning would've been nice Lush!

Hopefully I'm not being a pest here, but I think it's important to emphasize that Lush does NOT claim to be, nor are they, all natural. The bottom of the main page of their website clearly states, "LUSH's handmade... more »

Chris - not only are you not a pest, you are very helpful. What's the use of organic fruit in your product if you cover it up with synthetic smells? Makes no sense to me. Of course, just about every body care product... more »
