Are you kidding me?
Organic Picks wrote a blog post about how ridiculously wasteful this product is, and I agree. Throwing away a can and a plastic top is not a "green" way to make waffles. All the ingredients for waffles can be purchased from bulk bins at Rainbow or Berkeley Bowl or probably Whole Foods without any packaging at all. Zero Waste is the way to be "green." Over-packaging is the way to be "green-washed."

Its Not Delivery - its Batter Blaster!
Yeah, I know they don't deliver waffles - its a reference alright!
So anyway, we had a waffle party at the office with these the other day, and they were surprisingly good. I am definitely a fan of waffles, and i do kind of hate the mess that comes from having to make them from scratch. That being said, i also dislike having to use a premade mix that is full of chemicals and other "stuff" to make it last for a 100 years. This product bridges the gap - organic and easy!
There is also 1 more HUGE upside to this product. Usually, you have to guess how many waffles you are going to want, then make the appropriate amount of batter. What inevitably happens is either you don't make enough, or (and this is more likely for me) you make too much, and put the extra in the fridge with the intention of using it later, but it always goes bad before you get another chance to make waffles and you have to throw it away. How wasteful! With this product, you just squeeze out 1 waffle at a time, and when you are done, ptu the can back in the fridge. As long as you make x amount of waffles before the can goes bad (I think it stays good in your fridge for 2 months) you don't end up wasting anything! Excellent!

Organic Waffles-Fun to Eat & Fun to Make
This has to be the greatest invention since they put wheels on a suitcase. The Batter Blaster is pancake/waffle mix in a pressurized can (kind of like whip cream or cheez wiz). Not only is the product organic but it tastes great. I have used premixed pancake batter or mixes that only required water and they always end up tasting pretty bland. The company is also environmentally friendly, both the can and plastic tip can be recycled and its rated USDA organic. My family recently got 30 cases for their school's charity pancake breakfast and all the kids loved it! GENIUS!

I totally agree with you - it's kind of a gross idea and there isn't really a good excuse, maybe if you were an astronaut or something. I have no problem putting together my own pancake or waffle batter (which doesn't... more »

I can't believe with all this extra packaging, someone thought it was environmentally friendly? Not only is there a ton of packaging, but imagine all the environmental impact of creating the product. A big factory... more »
