Best East Bay Farmer's Market...

This is one of the most accessible of the "big" farmers markets in the East Bay. The prices vary -- sometimes I think "wow this stuff is expensive!" but it's popular and all the major vendors go with their best stock. If you want to get bread or pasta from Phoenix Pastarificio, go early because they always sell out. The Ecology Center and Spiral Gardens often have seedlings there -- year round to go with our year-round growing season.

There's often music and lots of prepared foods. I recommend getting there early - if you arrive later than 10:30, you'll be stuck in baby stroller hell and lots of the good stuff will be sold out.
