Biodegradable & compostable dog/cat waste bags.
The famous BioBag dog waste bags are finally available on a convenient-sized roll of 20 bags. Responsible dog walking is easier with these rolls that fit easily into large-size dispensers or a purse or pocket. BioBag dog waste bags are certified biodegradable and compostable.
We use a soft fabric waste bag dispenser that clips onto our Labrador's leash. This roll of poop bags fits conveniently inside.
I co-own a sustainable pet supplies store (disclaimer: offering these waste bags for sale) and this brand-new product is already a hit. BioBags are known for their adherence to federal and international compostability standards. The bags were previously only available in a box. Packaging them as a roll is much more convenient for dog owners.

I love these dog bags! In addition to the eco-friendliness that makes me oh-so-happy, they are sturdy. I've never had a rip or tear. They even feel nice to the touch.
Also, they meet all standards for biodegradable and compostable. There are a LOT of bags on the market that claim to be biodegradable but actually break into pieces and do not meet CA ASTM certification. If you have "biodegradable except as defined by the state of California" written on your package of bags, you may want to make the switch.
In full disclosure, I do sell these on my green pet supply website. They're the only poo pickup bag I carry because I love them and they are the real deal. They're made in Norway.
To all who are driven away by the price, just shop around. I currently have them on sale for $5 a box when you buy 3. You can find deals out there. Definitely worth looking.
Happy poo-picking up!

I've finally found a (partial) solution to the kitty litter disposal situation -- instead of using leftover plastic bags (I'm out of those, anyway), I'm using Biobag to dispose of the cat poop I scoop out every day (or twice a day if they're, um, busy).
These bags are biodegradable and compostable. Sadly, animal feces is not compostable in Alameda County. I'm also using a "flushable" litter -- but folks in California should not ever flush cat poop because the toxoplasms are killing sea otters.
At least I can feel good that the plastic is not going to live forever in the landfill -- and one day, I'll figure out the energy consumption and trade offs for using something like a Litter Maid (http://www.littermaid.com/).

Love the the biocompostable quality, love the feel, love the built-in closure (very clever). The only thing I would improve is the price. The cheapest I've found them rounds out to $.07 a bag.

These 100% biodegradable and compostable bags are just what the doctor ordered...no more plastic trash or shopping bags needed, and they're sturdy to boot. The best green product, to me, is one that does not sacrifice quality, and these are nice, tough little bags.

i compost everything i can, and when i found out that i can also compost my doggie's doodie, i jumped for joy! i hate hate hate using plastic bags to do the dirty deed. i immediately went to my local pet store and found these. then i looked at the price tag, blurred and rubbed my eyes to make sure what i was seeing was right. I spent about $8 that day, which will only last me about two weeks. *sad clown face*. on the other hand, they're FANTASTICO!!!! I just don't know if i can keep up with the price.

I was feeling bad about using plastic bags to pick up my dog's poop each day so I did some searching around online and found Biobag Dog. These biodegradable dog poop bags are made out of corn. How cool is that?! I use them exclusively now. I ordered them online and the cost averages about ten cents per bag. Quite a deal.
