Patagonia's Boaris make great "green" skate shoes...

...even if you don't get them in green.

These are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I've had in a long time. The fit is great and the shoes are made true to size. Knowing that the footbed and insole are made from recycled materials makes me feel better about my purchase. And the moisture wicking lining makes me feel good while wearing them. My feet stay cool and dry in the Boaris, unlike a lot of other shoes. I walk all over NYC in these and never have any discomfort (or odor). I am also very satisfied with the Vibram outsole. The Vibram sole holds up to the abuses of skateboarding much better than basic rubber or gum sole skate shoes.
