Hooray. Apparently Brita found it's brand endangered enough by not taking back its own used products to begin recycling them next year.
"11/15/2008: The Take Back The Filter campaign received a call from Brita brand manager Drew McGowan yesterday alerting us that Brita will indeed begin taking back and recycling pitcher filters beginning in January!"
Keep up the pressure... on Clorox, Brita, every retailer which sells disposable batteries (including IKEA), Obama, etc... the door is open, it's up to everyone to step through it.
