Cafe Feminino - Grown, Harvested & Processed by Women

I've been grinding, French pressing and serving piping hot cups of Cafe Feminino to our guests for over a year now. This single-origin coffee is described as "medium bodied, brightly acidic, with a full finish"...a perfect combination of characteristics for a wake-up-and-smell-the-coffee experience at 6:30am.

Cafe Feminino is a remarkable story, that unfolds near Ecuador in the NW Penachi region of Peru. Back in 2004, there was a gathering of Women Coffee Roasters, the first one. Referred to as 21st century pioneers, nearly 500 rural Peruvian Women, with the help of organic and Fair Trade premiums, are improving their socio-economic structure, enjoying a higher quality of life for themselves and their children, who have suffered from a life time of physical and sexual abuse (41% abuse rate). Improvements include healthier diets, better sanitation, new roads and processing mills. Wandering Goat donates to Sexual Assault Services, and Break Free: Self-Defense from the Inside Out.
