awesome raw food
Cafe Gratitude is local, green and organic business whose food is some of the best raw food I have had. There food has more flavor and spice than most . Also, their staff is very informative and knowledgeable about what they are serving. I highly recommend it.

Get dessert first!
...Because you'll probably order too many yummy things to eat, and the portions are quite good! Cafe Gratitude has the best key lime pie that could have ever existed on this planet. The menu may be a bit daunting -- smurfy names like 'I am Honoring' and 'I am Luscious' made me respond with 'I am Hungry' on my first several visits. You really can't go wrong with any of the entrees -- and it's all very good for you. The Berkeley location is a great date location in a brick building.

I agree - it is a bit expensive, but the food is very satisfying and well prepared! It's a bit shocking to spend $50 on lunch for two people but that's what makes it a great stop for dessert if you are on a budget. more »
