The Futureof Green Building
A pioneering businessman, Deva Rajan, founded canyon Construction, a construction company with offices in Oakland and Moraga, California, in 1966. Canyon Construction was the first construction company to develop the use of high fly ash content in concrete in conjunction with University of California Berkeley scientists. Canyon Construction is again leading the way into the future of green building by currently pursuing LEED Certification for the renovation of its new office building in Moraga. The building is designed to achieve LEED Platinum Cerfitication, the highest level of certification possible in the LEED system, which has only been achieved by 16 other buildings in the country. Canyon Construction is deeply devoted to leading the construction field into the future of green building in the bay area and beyond. They will use the new office building not only to showcase the cutting edge of green building technology, but also to educated and inspire the public on the benefits and necessity of green building for now and future generations.
