For Organic Gardeners

Some of my vegetables leaves were beginning to look like Swiss cheese despite the organic alternatives that seem to be working on other foliage, so my husband went in search of a bug-be-gone solution that was designed for organic gardeners to use. It's working beautifully. Produce is thriving. No sign of beetles and little green worms.

Product Description: "Captain Jack's Deadbug Brew contains Spinosad (spin-OH-sid), a naturally occurring soil dwelling bacterium that was collected on a Caribbean island from an abandoned rum distillery in 1982. Deadbug Brew kills bagworms, borers, beetles, caterpillars, codling moth, gypsy moth, loopers, leaf miners, spider mites, tent caterpillars, thrips and more!"

Environmental Hazard Warning: Toxic to Bees and Aquatic Invertebrates:
"This product is toxic to bees exposed to treatment for 3 hours following treatment. Do not apply this pesticide to blooming, pollen-shedding or nectar-producing parts of plants if bees may forage on the plants during this time period. This product is toxic to aquatic invertebrates. To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area."

Also, do not spray overhead on hanging baskets.
