Fledgling Farmer's Market Has Lots to Offer

Castro Valley's farmer's market is pretty new, but has all the staples: fresh fruit and vegetables, breads and baked goods, crafts, and hot food. Just this summer I bought the juiciest, sweetest pluots I've ever tasted at the CV market. The people there are incredibly friendly as well. One vendor who sold homemade bee products tolerated my persistent questions about a portion of a live beehive she displayed. The Market is right in the BART parking lot, so it's really easy to get to using public transit, and if you choose to drive, you'll have no problem finding a parking spot. I hope the market becomes year-round soon, as it's only open May-October.
