Urban Green, the Color of a Sustainable City

Having lived in Seattle from 1975-1995, I have to say that I am very impressed with what Seattle's Mayor, Greg Nickels and his LEED Certified Green Team Experts are doing! Seattle has needed a forward-thinking government the color of brilliant green! They've made it their mission to ensure that Seattle's green building standards and practices become mainstream through the implementation of education, technical support and incentives. Seattle's Department of Planning and Development's "City Green Building" site offers excellent tools - including links, forums, workshops, and an extensive calendar of conferences and events. Seattle.Gov's "CityGreen Building" is an easy-to-navigate, site that takes urbanites on any green path they want to go. Brilliant! Way to Go Green, Seattle!!!
