Stay away from this company

I was poking around on this website trying to find some nice brand skincare stuff as holiday gift and it brought me here. As always, I read the worst reviews since those are the decision makers most of times. And it was just hilarious reading this thread http://www.sustainlane.com/comments/coastal-classic-creations/12160, well, upset at first, as a consumer. I can’t believe this company is posting personal notes they received from a consumer during purchasing on the internet. AND thinks it’s ok to do that. It is so WRONG! That’s all, period. It’s just scary.
My roommate and I couldn’t help laughing while reading that thread. It’s just so obvious that those people “Steven”, “Harold”, are Shills! It’s funny to see them popping up with different stories and “faces” and then got “beat up”. We laughed even more when we read these “good reviews” right after that. Look at the timings! OMG! It’s like all these people sitting there and searching for this ‘Coastal Classic Creations’ reviews all day long and, coincidentally, they almost all have cancer. I don’t know. But I don’t buy it. I don’t know how anyone would. We were guessing that the “good reviewers” will rest for a little while when the total review reaches 5 stars.
It’s never a good sign when a company monitors a review site this badly and would do everything to “kill” every bad review. Let’s see who’s going to follow up with me now. Ha!

I AM IN LOVE!

I just wanted to say thank you SO VERY MUCH! for making such a wonderful product. I AM IN LOVE! My baby who is allergic to most everything can use your lavender baby bar and her rashes are gone.

I also appreciate all of your good customer service and for taking the time to wrap the packages so pretty and making me feel so special.

Six months ago, I contacted Coastal Classic Creations. I had been looking for toxin free products after my second round with breast cancer. I was so sick and tired of all the toxic stuff in my products and my dermatologist recommended that I begin to look at all the things in my life, my food, my environment, even the junk in personal care products. He told me to go to a website called the Environmental Working Group so while I was at home recuperating from my first surgery I got my computer and started my search. At first I just googled toxic free products and all kinds of products came up. When I look at them they still had parabens, chemicals and words I couldn't pronounce. I decided to go to the Environmental Group (EWG). My doctor told me that this website lists all the companies and the products they have--if they have a high rating for cancer. They have a kind of rating system where it goes from 0 for good stuff to 10 for bad chemicals. I couldn't believe what I read! My products from companies I had used for 30 years were rated 7 and 8, and I began to really see what I might have been doing to myself.

I went to my medicine cabinet and began reading all of the labels. My deodorant, powder, everything even perfume had all kinds of stuff in it. One by one I threw everything out! My husband came home and thought I was crazy. But, when I sat down and told him all of this he even said we could make a change.

I began to look at companies with 1 and 2 thinking no body could have 0's. Then, item by item this company called Coastal Classic Creations came up. I could not believe that all of their products had 0's. I ordered a lot of their products and I LOVE all of them! I had my mastectomy in October and I use their creams for the scarring. I feel great knowing that I can use toxic free stuff and not worry. I am SO grateful to this company. Go ahead and compare them to other companies--they are the only ones who tell the whole truth!

BEEN USING SINCE SEPTEMBER

I had been searching for products that do not contain cancer-causing ingredients due to the fact that cancer is prevelent in my family. I am 51 but do have oily skin. Seems difficult to find anti-aging products for oily skin. The prices were very reasonable compared to other companies. My initial purchase from Coastal Classic Creations contained facial cleansing bar, body cleansing bar, shampoo bar, conditioner balm, facial oil, witch hazel, eye shadows, mascara, lip color, loose powder foundation, and loose powder blush. Some of these items were samples. I did not purchase the eye oil, but use the facial oil I purchased for the eyes. Customer service did take a bit of time to answer my e-mails but their responses were very helpful in making my selections. Also, it did take a few weeks to receive my products. I have been using all the products faithfully and could not be more pleased. I purchased larger sizes of the sample items from my initial purchase. I have had no breakouts and my skin is very soft. The mascara is fantastic! The loose powder foundation is the best ever! I have no complaints about any of the products and will continue to use them. I will also be ordering additional items. It feels great not to be putting cancer-causing ingredients on my face/body.

Best product in the market

From my experience i would say they are the best for toxin free products. I have been using their product for the past 5 months. Wow it has produced me amazing result.So i would blindly recommend this company is the best place to get your toxin free products.

I have recommended this to my friends and the result is " WONDERFULL"

So if one had an bitter experience with the company we cant totally blame on one side.

I don't know about others but to me this is the best place to get what you are looking for( Cosmetic products)

I totally agree with the other reviewer that the company provides very poor customer service and the time for a order to arrive can be very long.

I saw a previous review said that it might take them 2 weeks for the order to arrive, so I waited more than 2 weeks after putting in my order. During this time, there's no email or call to inform me the order status. A few days after I emailed them, I got a email with a tracking number just as the other reviewer said.

But my worst experience with them was getting the refund after I returned some of the products. No matter how I explain, they refused to admit that they have received the parcel (products) I sent back. Although they did send me a exchanged product which I request on the note I put into the parcel. How is it possible that they got the notes in the parcel but without receiving the parcel? I have no idea.

I guess I'm just very unlucky to get this service, but it seems that I'm not on my own. To order from this company, you need to keep track of the time of each steps and follow-up with them yourself. I do a lot of online shopping and this is one of the worst experience I have ever had. I'll never order from them again.

Coastal Classic Creations

I ordered from this company and live in the next State and my order took almost 2 weeks to arrive by UPS Ground. When I originally emailed this company on their products they email back right away. When I emailed regarding the lateness of my order they emailed back 3 days later. I also left a voice mail which they said they say they will call you within 24 hours and they never called me back. When they finally emailed, they sent the tracking number and that was it! No I'm sorry, no charge for the mailing fee. Poor customer service and horrible shipping time. Will not order from them again and have told other people who have ordered from them, this unnecessary ordeal.

Review of Coastal Classic Makeup

I ordered a coastal classic creations makeup kit that contains six items.

The first item was two different colors of eye shadow. Since I always line my eyes, and never put shadow on, I picked two dark colors, black and dark blue. I find that in using just a standard liner brush, too much eye shadow particles land on my face, and dark smudges everywhere are no good. So I use their eye shadow with Too Faced liquid liner, which is this clear liquid on a brush that you can use with any shadow to create liquid liner. I love this combination, and I find that Coastal Classic eye shadows work really well for this purpse.

Next comes the lipstick. The pigmentation is really good and dark. It is a bit drying on the lips, and it also has a very matte finish. I like to put gloss on top, for a bit of moisture and shine. Overall not a bad product.

Their blush, I bought the coral sea color, which is so dark red that it's impossible to use, so I hate this color.

Their concealer and loose powder I find does not give very good coverage for some reason. Two other powder foundations I've used are Bare Escentuals and Physician's Forumula, and both give more coverage.

Good stuff

I just received my order from Coastal Classic Creations. I ordered a lipstick (which actually comes in a tin), eye cream and leave in-conditioner. The conditioner can actually get used in lieu of palmade. LOVE IT, LOVE IT! It's not greasy and doesn't weigh the hair down. I have short hair and it works perfectly for me. Also, the lipstick is great. Doesn't taste wierd - what I hate about most lipsticks - and has a great color. I can't wait to try the eye cream tonight.

Oh, it did take a few weeks to receive the order... so be patient when you order.

one of the best

I am in search of a truly sustainable, non-toxic, organic body care and cosmetics company. I think I found one of the best so far. CCC is a California Corporation. Their website includes a thorough list of ingredients they do not use, including % contents, and why. Their choice to use certain, safer, non-toxic and organic ingredients is based on scholarship. I'm impressed that they have such transparency regarding their ingredients, including their packaging. I can't wait to try their products, which range from soaps, scrubs, oils, creams, powders, and various hair, hand, foot, baby and face products, including parfum and products for men.

Update: I am very happy with my order, which did take a while since it was made to order by hand. It does take some getting used to, but I don't mind the tins of lipstick and love the hair pomade, which smells great! Everything seems very concentrated so you don't need much to get the color or fragrance you want, you just have to use their tiny flat spoons - for lack of a better word - to dispense the formulations. The lip gloss is perfect and lasts a long time. It's nice to know all of these projects won't harm me or the environment!
