Wake up to awareness
I can't do justice to this inspiring, brilliant, and comprehensive book on mindfulness meditation and healing. It is long, and can be rambling, but the author is clearly passionate about this message, about our mind-body-spirit connection and our destructive 24/7 lifestyle. Put simply if we can adopt these measures, heal ourselves, we can heal each other, and in turn this planet, though it may be a long journey. Kabat-Zinn developed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program, which is used in over 200 hospitals and has shown to reduce stress and chronic pain in patients.
