Nancy's Organic Cottage Cheese

My daughter and I both love Nancy's Organic Cottage Cheese. Some people do not like the tartness but we love it and it's due to the 4 cultures they add to the product. We eat this every week YUMM!!!

acquired taste

Personally, I love cottage cheese -- Daisy's, Horizon, Nancy's, whatever. Great source of protein with all amino acids.

Nancy's brand is very tart, in a yogurty way x 10. I usually eat it plain, or with figs to counterbalance the overwhelming sourness. If you enjoy sour foods, you'll like this; if you're going for a cottage cheesy taste, I'd choose something else. Also--a little on the expensive side.

utterly wonderful!

This stuff is great. I eat it daily, even making a special trip to the store if I'm out and know I don't have any for the morning.

It's tart, with a thicker texture than a lot of cottage cheese (which works for me--I find traditional cottage cheese too creamy and tasteless!)

It's good for you--lots of great cultures which promote good digestion.

It's a local company (for me), so I'm glad to support it, even if it is a tad expensive at $3.59 for a 16 oz tub (but all dairy has gone up these last two years, so not too surprising).

Bottom line--taste is personal. Give this a try (but try it more than once if you don't like it the first time since it won't taste like you might 'expect' cottage cheese to taste).

Great low calorie, low fat, high protein food!!

Sour, as in really Sour!

I had the very same experience as Scott. Unbelievably sour! Big disappointment. My first bite of Nancy's Cottage Cheese was also my last bite. Now, at the market, I reach around Nancy's to grab another brand of cottage cheese, as if Nancy's is going to jump out and bite me. Obviously, the experience left more than just a bad taste in my mouth.

Nancy's organic cottage cheese

In most of the stores in my neighborhood, this is the only organic cottage cheese available. Yet it's unbelievably sour! I don't know how anyone can stand it. Horizon organic cottage cheese is far better
