This place is a hip 4-story indoor mall that feels outdoor--owing to its glass half-dome roof and guggenheim-like interior where you can see all the way up or down.
On Thursdays the place is packed with people, live music, and Great Food!! You can greedily gobble your goods on the roof like the FiDi set, or enjoy good now-meat-friendly eats at Medicine Eatstation. The Tully's here serves only fair-trade coffee.
Back to the market, there are lots of fruits to choose from, Afghan dips and breads, German pastries and breads, nuts, soaps, oh my! I really like the Afghan foods. The fruits aren't as pricey as I'd expect, though still a bit high. Try bargaining! Financial feels like a mausoleum of human file cabinets, so this outdoorsey mall and farmers market fill a huge need. Check it out for yourself. Not very interesting people watching; the roof gardens and food ghetto are the main draw.
