The best dark, milk chocolate

I agree with all the reviewers below. This chocolate is perfectly creamy and sweet with just the right amount of milk. It's called dark chocolate, but you wouldn't know it from the taste - no bitter dark chocolate taste. This chocolate reminded me that being green can be pretty easy!

ummmm, yum.

If you try to have the health benefits of dark chocolate, but really love milk chocolate better, this is the perfect chocolate. I am a big fan of milk chocolate but know I deserve a slap on the wrist for eating it. So, with this chocolate, I win.

It's organic certified and fair trade certified, wooooo!

I can totally taste the milk

This is dark chocolate with a touch of milk. It's rich like dark chocolate, but has a bit of creaminess like milk chocolate. I can still taste the cacoa more than the milk. I still think I might be a dark, dark chocolate fan, but this is definitely a great afternoon treat!

True to its name

Velvet is the right word for this chocolate--it's one of the smoother varieties that have crossed my palate over the last six months. And I concur with reviewer Jessica P., the packaging makes me feel good about eating it. Consider the name: Alter Eco. . . it gives a personification to the chocolate, as if it's active in the eco-movement itself. Imagine: a phalanx of protesting chocolate bars, demanding a more ecologically sensible society, marching down a street near you! Problem is, they'd get eaten up quick. Perhaps that's not a bad thing; perhaps these chocolate bars prefer to do their work from the inside. Which is all the more reason to eat one.

The perfect chocolate?

This dark chocolate has a hint of organic milk in it, that makes for a creamy smooth texture that milk chocolate enthusiasts love and dark chocolate enthusiasts never get to experience. I definitely recommend this for all chocolate lovers! The cocoa is fairly traded from Bolivia as well, so you can feel good about eating this decadent treat.
