Free Range Turkeys fed low-fat diet of milled grains and soybeans; no hormones or growth stimulants.
Address map 22200 Lyons Bald Mountain RdI recently purchased a 11 lb Heidi's Hen at whole foods for Thanksgiving and was very, very pleased with the product. Every November for the past seven or eight years we have purchased a organic free range turkey for Thanksgiving but never heard of Heidi's until recently and decided to give it a try. What impressed me and my wife most with this turkey was the very rich and wholesome turkey flavor found in the Heidi's. Other free range birds we have had in the past have been very good but this stands out because of the superior flavor, low fat and excellent texture. The meat was firm but not too soft. When cooked it was everything I expected from a turkey. The flavor was comparable to the Heritage turkey we had last year at about twice the price which was surprising. Based on the taste I can tell these turkeys were well cared for and fed with high quality feed. My search for the best tasting turkey is over, at least for now, and I will be back next year for a repurchase. It is nice to see high quality poultry of this caliber. Great Job.

After reading this I called my parents to ask if they had ordered a turkey yet. I said that even though we have a delicious turkey every year could they think about switching to an organic one from a farm in Sonora, which is close to where I grew up. My dad responds "Do you mean a Diestel? We have that every year. We order it from the local meat market." Turns out that the turkey all our relatives rave about, and all my friends want leftovers from, is a Diestel. I highly recommend this turkey, I always thought the reason our turkey was so much better than others was my mom's cooking expertise but it turns out my parents knew that organic free range meat was the secret to having the best turkey on the block! And I thought my boyfriends liked Thanksgiving at my house because of my family...
