I used to use Palmolive, but I find this product much less harsh & drying on my hands, and still able to clean off the greasy dishes or pots, pans. It's not suppose to suds much since on the instruction it does mention that it doesn't require water to be applied to the sponge.
They use natural oils of the fragrance, for example, I have the grapefruit, which gives that light citrus freshness but doesn't overpower the kitchen.

I switched from Palmolive to Dishmate because it's biodegradable. I liked the pear scent and it was on sale. I was disappointed because it took three times as much Dishmate on my sponge to do the same amount of dishes as Palmolive. I also am a sucker for suds, and because Dishmate does not sud, I am unsure if it was still working. I'm going to try a different biodegradable soap and probably won't use Dishmate again.

I'm a sucker for fruity smells, especially when they aren't overpowering and artificial. Pear Dishmate smells like the real thing, so much so that my mouth starts to water a bit. It makes the drudgery of washing dishes into aromatherapy. I only gave it 4 stars because it's not that sudsy (but maybe that's a good thing, if keeps our waterways clean).
