Ecover discloses all ingredients - all plant-based - which means you won't get chemicals on your hands while washing your dishes. It also works just as well if not better than the brands I used to use (joy and palmolive.) Recently I've been thinking more about what we put down the drain and what this means. Dish soap goes down the drain and either back into our water supply or into the soil from where we grow the food we eat. Dishwashing soap may not seem like a big deal, but it's one more thing we put down the drain on a daily basis so I'm glad I found this natural alternative and hope others try it so we can reduce the unnatural things we put into our planet.

plant-based dishwashing delight
Ecover rocks. I think they put in like 20 years developing their ecological dishwashing soap. It's all plant-based, made with completely biodegradable ingredients. It works excellently, as well, so no need to worry on that end -- you know, the whole "Will it clean things?" question. I think that most of all, the fact that Ecover's company facility has a green-roof says it all. No, actually, using the product itself says it all. Very much a product of integrity and effectiveness.

Gentle, but a bit too gentle
I recently started using Ecover's dishwashing liquid. It's soft on my hands, but for extra greasy pans, I feel like I need to use an extra dose of the liquid to get the pan squeaky clean. Although it feels good protect our natural resources by producing less suds while cleaning my dishes.

clean and green dishes!
Ecover makes great liquid dish soap, as well as powdered and tablet form dishwasher detergent. It gets dishes clean and is kind to the environment.

Clean dishes and no residue
I really enjoy using this product because it's environmentally friendly and because it smells great. One big selling point for me is that it rises really well and there doesn't seem to be any residue.
