Outstanding Organic Riesling
If you're looking for a delicious organic wine that won't break the bank or if you have an aversion to white wines because you don't like cheap chardonnay that's been foisted upon you in art gallery receptions and weddings, look no further than the Dr L Riesling.
I first had a glass of the 2006 Riesling a week or so ago and was very impressed. It's very clean, with notes of apple/pear, honeysuckle and a hint of citrus. It's sweet without being overpoweringly sweet.
I tried it several days later with my sweetie, who doesn't like white wines, and this one went over really well with him.
It's available at restaurants for around $35/bottle but you can also pick it up at Bev-Mo for $12/bottle.
A quick bit of research online shows that this Dr L Riesling is a pretty popular wine -- it's consistently good over the last several years, so you might want to check it out!
