This neat device will collect data for a day and then tell you what plants will grow at a given location well.
It will also tell you what is wrong with the location for a plant that you already have.
It also alerts you when you need to water your plants by making sounds.
Everything installed very easily. You do need to have an internet connection because the software links the sensor data to their website. The website does all the thinking to figure things out. On the plus side, this means that you will probably never have to install an update for the software and it runs well on a slow computer.
I put a battery in it and tested it in my tiny back yard. It needs 24 hours to see what conditions are like wherever you put it. When I plugged it into my computer the next day it gave me a very large list of plants that could be grown in my backyard. After I filtered this list to look at edible plants, the list was short enough to read in a few min.
It confirmed all the plants that did well in my yard,
the Easy Bloom plant sensor did in one day what had taken me years to figure out with trial and error.
It also works for indoor plants to help you keep them growing well.
Cons: I hope that they add a feature to control the sound in the next version, as it is likely to be stolen where I live if someone hears it. There are lights as well, but I can cover these with tape.
Pros: Overall I am surprised how well it works. It does exactly what it claims to, and does it quite well. They must have put a huge amount of work into the plant database that they have, and I appreciate it.

Not much at all, for what it does. Looks like $29.99 through their site, which redirects you to Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E5DF66?ie=UTF8&tag=plant08-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative... more »
