Green even the little electronics

When i think of the direction we need to move in to go green, the co-axle cables I use to connect my DVD player to my TV isn't the first thing that comes to my mind. Yet here we have what is undoubtedly a green product meant to do just that. What i think is really awesome about this is that it is a harbinger of things to come. Moving forward EVERYTHING will have to be green. Sure, changing your HDMI cable is going to have very little effect on your overall carbon footprint or the toxins you put into the earth when you throw these things away. It isn't just this cable though - these foreshadows a time when any company making anything will have to take green into account.

As for what makes it green, the parent company spent 6 months developing an environmental quality assurance program and minimize or eliminate where possible hazardous materials like cadmium and lead in their products, reducing their environmental impact on the planet.

Plus, when the product shows up[ at your front door it is packaged in post-consumer waste cardboard, and the plastic package is 100% recyclable. This, my friends, is the future.

I'm all about supporting companies that have sustainable practices top to bottom, even if their product isn't exactly green top to bottom. Thanks! more »
