Eco-"TERRIFIC"
I agree, the store gives a whole new meaning to "green". The merchandise is colorful and stylish; not bland and neutral, as we think of eco-friendly products. The healthy aspect of the furniture and beds is a real plus. Speaking of beds...those H-3 Environmental mattresses are the most comfortable I've ever laid on! The Polk St. store is nice, but to get the full effect, the 16th St. store is best. It's more spacious, more stuff, and Kim is great (and cute as a button!).

Natural Beauty for Natural Homes
This is a fantastic place to shop for 'green' home furnishings and get professional interior design assistance! Eco-terric's mission is to show the world that it is possible to have a beautiful and colorful home, while still caring for the planet, using healthy materials, and being socially responsible. Their philosophy is based on Bau Biologie (building biology) and they really do their homework on everything they provide! Eco-terric's largest showroom is at 1401 16th Street in the San Francisco Design District of Potrero Hill, but I like their store at the new Green Home Center on Polk Street. Oh my God, I had no idea there were so many green products available in one place! You really have to check them out - they offer the best line of natural bedding and upholstered furniture - and they know what they're talking about. No 'green washing' here.
