Unstable Product - Eco Timber

We started a long renovation project in our home with the central goal of trying to use as many "green" products as possible. During our search we found out about EcoTimber and I wish we hadn't...We selected an Oak product for the lower half of our house, the product got delivered and stored by the local distributor. Our renovation project timeline slipped by 2 months so we couldn't install the flooring and when the time did come, we found that the planks had all warped. The sales rep claimed that because our humidity level for a week had exceed their 55% the material had absorbed moisture. The house measured at 62%...what kind of unstable garbage is this stuff? How can such a small difference in humidity for such a short period of time cause so much damage to the wood? Now we are stuck with $7000 of material. EcoTimber claims that the material will go back to its original condition, but is not willing to swap it out, they are just willing to sell us more material.
As far as I am concerned this product is nothing by hype, riding the wave of eco friendly material. People who cannot stand behind their products should be put out of business.

Beautiful floors!

As a retailer for Eco-Timber, I think I am most impressed by this company's commitment to sustainable, healthy flooring. All of their hardwoods and exotics are FSC certified, which means no clear cutting of old growth and a living wage paid all the way down the line, plus they use formaldehyde free glues in their engineered flooring and bamboo ensuring healthy indoor air quality.
Prices can be steep, but still a great value when you consider the life of the floor and it's environmental impact.
