Emergen-C is great! I take it during the winter to help ward off colds. Whenever I feel a sniffle, I just mix up a packet. It also helps me get over colds faster. Last year, it seemed like I was getting a cold every month. After I started taking Emergen-C, my recovery time decreased substantially. I don't know if it's the fluids, the Vitamin-C, or the other nutrients in it, but it works. Though this product does wonders for colds, my favorite use for it is as a hangover remedy. If you knocked back a few too many, definitely take an Emergen-C packet...or two.
If you haven't tried Emergen-C before, be sure to buy a single packet to see if you like the flavor. Buying in bulk is a great way to help cut back the cost, but a box runs about $15.00, and you don't want to find out that you have 30 packets of a flavor you can't stomach. Of the flavors I've tried, I like raspberry the most and tropical the least.

I've read varying reports over the years about the effects of vitamin C... I finally decided that I believe it helps. So I take Emergen-C when I feel a cold coming on. I have no way of knowing if it actually does lessen the intensity of what my cold would have been, but I choose to believe it does... and that's what matters, right?

It's hard to keep these in the house as the kids down them in seconds. The effervescence it creates when you combine it with water is also comforting to the stomach. I'll buy them when I feel I need a boost and just need a pick me up beyond what my normal vitamins seem to give me. Highly recommended.
I force these on others all the time. People complain of headaches, feeling groggy, think they have a cold coming on, etc. if you feel bad, chances are you need nutrients and water. This isn't rocket science. I like the cranberry because it's a good kidney flush. If you think you're getting a cold or need an afternoon pick-me-up, these rock.
I do like my Emegen-C -- but recent reports reverse previous research which said that high Vitamin C intake helps boost the immune system. Everything in moderation -- some things work better for other people and too much Vitamin C can cause more noticeable signs from your body that you should back-off.

I try to always have a few packets in my purse. When you buy it by the box, they cost about 25 cents each, so they're a healthy and cheap alternative to sodas. All flavors (not just the Electro-Mix) have 100 to 200 mg of Potassium, which make it a great low to no sugar alternative to sports drinks if you're trying to keep your electrolytes in a healthy zone. Who needs to take vitamin supplements? Just have a few Emergen-C's on hand and drink it throughout the day. I especially like the new Acai Berry flavor.

I love Emergen-C. I often drink it laced with a few drops of grapefruit seed extract, which gives me a potent combination of vitamin C and natural antibiotic and antiviral properties. Even though I prefer the sugar-free Emergen-C for health purposes, I have to admit the ones with sugar just taste better. Loaded with all kinds of vitamins, I just wish Emergen-C would come out with a more sustainable container, that is, instead of little packets, how about a lightweight, recycled container of some kind? Or how about selling in bulk? Too much packaging.

I love Emergen-C for lots of reasons but this flavor is bad. Stick to the citric ones.
