enviga's "drink negative" green tea gets rave negative reviews
I ripped out a full page ad for enviga from an old magazine in my doctor's office - their pitch, "be postive, drink negative". I was interested in finding out more about this calorie burning green tea. I visited their flashy, cool website, then googled other sites to see what I could find out.
Whoa, Netty! Nestea is facing a lawsuit for fraud. Here's just one watch dog group tracking what's happening: Casewatch reports, "CSPI's (Center for Science in the Public Interest) scientists have concluded that "Enviga is just a highly caffeinated and overpriced diet soda, and is exactly the kind of faddy, phony diet aid it claims not to be."
Oh wait, another comment from the CSPI newsroom: "One Coke executive made the astonishing claim to USA Today that Enviga can replace walking up the stairs."
Gizmodo likens it to snail oil.
